Jennifer & Rob: Married! {Beckenridge Vineyards Wedding Photographer}

It has been such a pleasure to get to know Jennifer and Rob since they first contacted me about shooting their wedding last year. They have been so much fun to work with and I knew that they would have a beautiful wedding day. I was certainly not disappointed.

Jennifer and Rob were married at Beckenridge Vineyards. Beckenridge is a fantastic little venue tucked into Dallas, Oregon and I would not hesitate to recommend it to Portland area brides.

This was their "first look" moment. Priceless.

I was so glad that after the main events of the reception I was able to sneak Jennifer and Rob out into some lovely light in the Vineyards.

Jennifer and Rob, thanks for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day... and thanks for some great pre-wedding pizza. I really enjoyed getting to know you and your families... even Bob (maybe that should even be... especially Bob.)

Also, thanks to Kellie Parry for being a fabulous second shooter! I think we make a pretty fearsome team.

Fall Mini Sessions!

Natalie Whisler Photography Fall Mini Sessions are finally here! Now is the time to do your holiday photos. Mini sessions are great opportunity to give the custom portrait photography experience a try at a very affordable price.

Fall Mini Sessions will be held Saturday October 9th and October 16th at the beautiful Elk Rock Gardens of the Bishops Close.

$50 Fall Mini Sessions will Include...

-Session fee for 20-30 minute session for up to four people

-Online Gallery of 5-7 fully retouched images

-25 5x7 Holiday Cards or 1 8x10 print and 1 5x7 print*

*Additional prints and holiday cards may be purchased separately.

A Trout Lake Wedding with Kellie Parry

Last month I was able to travel to Trout Lake, WA with my friend Kellie to second shoot a wedding for her. This was our first professional team up and I think we made a pretty fabulous wedding duo. We'll have the pleasure of working together again when she second shoots for me in September.

Here are a few of my favorite captures from the day (any editing is mine as well)...

This was my favorite shot from the ceremony. So beautiful and so in love.

The bride's dress was handmade for her by a family member.



The bride and groom set up a photo area with props for guests. I adore this "sisters" photo of the groom's mom and aunt.


I love watching the couple's reaction during toasts. I also loved getting a chance to play with the infamous 70-200mm L series lens that Kellie rented for this wedding.

Making it all official....

It was a fun day in a beautiful location and I'm very much looking forward to working with Kellie again. You can see Kellie's lovely images here.

Rob & Jennifer: Engaged! {Portland Oregon Engagement Photographer}

I had a great time meeting up with Jennifer and Rob for their engagement session downtown . I've gotten to meet with Rob and Jennifer a couple of times now and I've even gotten a chance to meet (and photograph) Rob's family. This time I was finally able to meet two very important family members... Ava and Caleb.


Ava and Caleb are the much loved and (mostly) very well behaved dogs of Rob and Jennifer. I love this next picture, but I have to laugh a little about Caleb showing off his backside. Rob may have made a predictive comment about the number off dog rear-ends that would appear in these images.

Beautiful...

Caleb has two faces... serious and happy.

What? You want to see more of the actual couple? We managed to focus on them for a few shots.

Some folks (and dogs) just don't like to be left out.

I am definitely looking forward to meeting up with this foursome again at the wedding in September.

Ethan is one! (Portland, OR Baby Photographer}

Our very own nephew Ethan turned celebrated his first birthday this past week. Ethan made an appearance on the blog last year as a sweet six week old. I would say he has changed a bit...




Ethan isn't quite sure if he likes birthday parties yet, but fortunately he does like photo shoots. He was in a wonderful mood the entire time.


I swear I did not pose him like this. He's just kind of a natural.





So, maybe he looks a little concerned here (and who can blame him, his aunt does do some pretty ridiculous things doing photo shoots), but this one just cracks me up.



Mama kisses seem to be a recurring theme with these one year old boys ;) ...

Joe wasn't able to be at our last session. He returned from Iraq right before Ethan was born and had to leave for Hawaii shortly after. He is a great Dad to Ethan and I know they are all very grateful for the last nine months together.

Happy Birthday Ethan! I look forward to watching you grow!
